Our Story

Disciples of Worship was founded by Mary Elizabeth Kolsrud. With a passion for music and missions and a call to disciple the nations in worship, Mary Elizabeth embarked on a journey moving to Norway from America in early 2012.  While previously traveling around Norway she met different young musicians and worshippers that God highlighted who carried the same heart and vision and asked them to join.

Disciples of Worship started as a traveling worship ministry school. These young worshippers formed a band led by Mary Elizabeth and they learned more about worship and developed their gifts while traveling around Norway ministering to different churches. "Be discipled and disciple others" is our motto. Most of our time was spent in the North of Norway. We wanted to bless the places where there were not many resources. We put on seminars, worship outreaches, dance workshops, helped form new worship teams, and experienced many people come to the Lord. We wrote new worship songs filled with messages we felt God wanted to release over certain areas. We recorded them and released them with our EP "Follow the Sound" in 2013.

Disciples of Worship led short term worship missions where other worshippers and intercessors of all ages joined to Germany, Kenya, and other places around Scandinavia.

The school moved from being a traveling school to a monthly school in Bergen, Norway equipping the worshipers in the city. Now we also offer online courses for any one in the world to join in and grow in their worship.

Disciples of Worship is a community of worshippers from different nations who want to be discipled in worship and disciple others in worship, releasing their unique sound and gifts to reach their sphere of influence in the world.

Disciples of Worship is connected with Sounds of the Nations and Normisjon.
